Set against an idyllic lake front, Jindabyne is the ideal location for a family or group holiday to the snow. Only a short drive to the ski resorts or the Ski Tube for access to Perisher, Jindabyne offers modern accommodation without breaking the budget.
The added bonus of staying in Jindabyne is that on bad weather days you can explore the boutique shops and there are plenty of activities for the kids like the local cinema showing premiere movies all year round. The weather in Jindabyne is generally much better than Perisher or Thredbo so you wont be confined to your accommodation on a bad weather day.
Whitehorn Apartments ensure that you stay in comfortable accommodation and still maintain an affordable holiday for you and your family.
What is the Ski Tube?
The Ski Tube is a train which takes you from outside the NSW National Park into Perisher Ski Resort. The Ski Tube is located at Bullocks Flat which is 18km from Jindabyne along the Alpine Way (road to Thredbo).
The benefits of the Ski Tube is that you don’t have to drive into the National Park which requires all 2 wheel drive cars to carry chains, The elevation of Bullocks Flat and the road to the Ski Tube is rarely covered in snow making driving much safer.
The Ski Tube is an additional cost however the price does include your National Park entry fee and is much safer than driving the winding alpine roads.
Please Note: During winter, it is compulsory to carry snow chains in 2 wheel drive cars, when driving through National Park to Thredbo or Perisher resorts. The fines for not carrying chains is very substantial, and we recommend you visit a snow chain hire service, prior to entering National Park
